Se resume el crecimiento de caoba (Swietenia spp.) y de teca (Tectona grandis) en plantaciones, y el comportamiento de procedencias de teca y de cecro (Cedrela sp), localizadas en las zonas de vida de bosque seco subtropical y bosque húmedo; subtropical, en San Cruz, Islas Vírgenes, EE.UU. El híbrido de caoba (S. macrophylla x S. mahagoni), de Santa Cruz, mostró la mejor forma y tasa de crecimiento de todas las especies probadas.
