Safe use of pesticides, residues and environmental issues relating to sigatoka disease control

This document explains the pesticides are also dangerous to non-target organisms that are a part of the ecosystem of the community where the spraying is being done. The pesticide is spread over a very wide area by water movement in runoff and through the food chain. Destruction of non-target organisms is not readily observed or studied, and the agricultural sector can do much damage without being aware of it
