The systems approach to livestock research in Latin America: a methodology

If the general methodology described above is applied fully, it could be possible to dispense with the evaluation of alternatives. That is, if the farmer and his family come to play an active role in each methdological stage, it is logical to assume that technology assessment itself will serve to test the merit of the alternative. In any case, it is clear that the responsibility of the scientist conducting farming systems research is to develop a transferrable technology centered on the farmer.(MV)
