The paper highlights the immediate reaction after receiving reports of a locust incursion of the Ministry of Agriculture, with the establisment of a Locust Technical Committee to deal with the situation. The functions of the Committee were to co-ordinate, monitor and implement all aspects of response to the locust infestation. The document presents an report of the initial infestation, assessment methods, control measures, and follow-up surveys and activities with regard to erradication. (MIBA)
