Beekeeping in Grenada
The paper refers to the land, population, climate,and products of the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique. Then, describes the present status of beekeeping industry, the present markets for hive products, and the major problems like lack of functional institutional organization; lack of adequate machinery for extraction; inadequate packaging and transportation to regional and extraregional markets; and the wax moth continues to be the most notorious pest and disease problem.
