On-farm bioeconomic evaluation of technological alternatives
The paper underscores that evaluation of alternatives is a phase that is still lacking in definition and is little understood within the realm of animal production systems research. Analysis of scholarly publications on systems research reveals that agricultural researchers in Latin America interpret the concept of technological alternatives in a number of ways, depending on the situation in which it is used: something similar occurs with the concept of evaluation, particularly where technical proposals are concerned
