Growth
This chapter provides information on goat's growth. It includes a general description of growth stages in kids, development and body composition during growth and kid production systems. An anatomical and physiological characterization of the growth of kids is given, as compared to that of other ruminants. Factors affecting growth performance are analyzed. Some examples of production techniques intended in particular for replacement animals are given
