Nutrition and feeding of goats: application to temperate climatic condition
This chapter provides information on nutrition and feeding of goats. Recent data on feeding behavior, feed intake, digestibility and goat nutrient requirements is reported. The effects of the diet on reproductive performance, milk yield and composition is discussed. The composition of basal rations (forages, silage, concentrate) and the establishment of feeding programs for the intensive conditions of Western Europe are studied
