Contribution to the knowledge of the genus Encyrtus Latreille in Argentina (Hymenoptera, Chalcidoidea, Encyrtidae)
The author describes a new species of Encyrtidae, Encyrtus homopteryx ?close to E. haywardi, and E. baezi? from Ceroplastes sp. (Hom.: Coccoidea) on an unnamed leguminosae from the province of Jujuy. Therefore the genus Encyrtus has 7 known species in Argentina. A lectotype for E. baezi is designated.
