Terminal evaluation of the UNEP GEF project: Mitigating the threat of invasive alien species in the insular Caribbean

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP GEF project implemented between 2009 and 2014. The project's objective was to mitigate the threat to local biodiversity and economy from invasive alien species (IAS) in the insular Caribbean, including terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems as a way to reach the goal of conserving the globally important ecosystems, species and genetic diversity within the insular Caribbean. The evaluation aimed to promote accountability and transparency, and to assess and disclose levels of project accomplishment and to synthesize lessons that may help improve the selection, design, and implementation of future GEF activities.
