Urgent Issues of the Mycotoxins Problem in Kazakhstan

Mycotoxins which are poisons produced by microscopic fungi form a vast group of substances which contaminate food products [1,2,3,4,5,6] More than 200 mycotoxins have been isolated from food products and identified as belonging to differing classes of chemical compounds and exerting different effects on an organisms (7,8,9,10). A range of biological actions of mycotoxins have been described including general toxic effects, embryo-toxic, teratogenic, mutagenic, oncogenic and allergising (8, 9,10, 11, 12, 13 , 14).
