Phenotypic variation in micropropagated bananas and plantains

Literature survey of somaclonal variations in micropropaged bananas and plantains was performed. Special attention was paid to variation types. stability, potential use, possible origin, probability of appearance and early identification of somaclonal variation. Strategies to avoid appearance of off-types were also discussed.
