Reproduction de Pagrus caeruleostictus (Valenciennes, 1830) (Pisces, Sparidae) des côtes tunisiennes.
The histological study of gonads and the variations of the numerical proportions of the sex have permitted to show that Pagrus caeruleostictus is a rudimentary hermaphrodite. This species, which presents a sexual dimorphism, spawns from July to October. The absolute fecundity varies between 20,000 and 1,200,000 ovocytes for sizes varying between 15 and 42 cm.
