Problems and prospects of fish culture in Mubi, Adamawa State
This paper reviewed the major problems of fish pond culture in Mubi.The prospects for fish pond are highlighted and a call to awaken people initiatives in Mubi region to invest in fish farming is made so that the nutritional and economic status of the people of the region might be improved through aquaculture. Some of the problems identified are: lack of knowledge of the biology of culturable species, none availability of fish feed, none availability of fish seed and the peculiarity of the weather most expecially the very cold season when the temperature can be as low as 18~'C.
