Technical circular no. 59: Standard recommendations for fertilizer, 1987
This technical circular sets out recommendations of the Coffee Research Foundation on the rate and timing of applications of nitrogen fertilizers, potassium, magnesium and calcium fertilizers, lime, compound fertilizers organic manure and mulch for coffee trees in Kenya. Application rates are given in grammes per tree so taht differences in planting density may be taken into account when applying fertilizers. However, for nitrogen fertilizers is recommended that an application rate of 200 kg N/ha per annum should not be exceeded whatever the tree density, as rates beyond this do not result in any further benefit
