The effect of copper and captafol on bacterial blight, coffee berry disease and yield

Kocide 101 (0.7) sprays controlled Bacterial blight and CBD effectively and increased yields by a factor of 4 and 10 in two consecutive years. Sprays of Captafol (0.4) controlled CBD effectively but increased the severity of Bacterial blight with an eventual yield reduction. The performance of tank mixture sprays of Captafol (0.2) and Kocide 101 (0.4) was comparable to that of Kocide 101 (0.7) sprays in one year but was inferior in the next. The paper describes the disease and yield implications with respect to Copper and Captafol sprays in an area where Bacterial blight is a major problem
