Pollen morphology in the genus coffea, 1: Scanning electron microscopy

Pollen morphology of 15 species of the genus Coffea was studied. On the basis of the oxine surface details under scanning electron microscope, it was possible to recognize at least 8 pollen types. These results reveal that pollen morphology constitutes an important and useful character for taxonomic and phylogenetic studies of Coffea
