Ceratostomella fimbriata en el cacao de Venezuela
The occurrence of a necrosis of the trunk and main branches of the cacao tree due to Ceratostomella fimbriata is first reported in Venezuela. The disease, apparently similar to the "Sphaeronema" once described by Rorer in Ecuador, had a serious and epidemic nature. Some details are given about the symptoms and the ethiology of the disease; an explanation of the infectivity and spread factors is tried.
