The future of agriculture in the Americas and Hemispheric integration: open markets and competitiveness

This document explains on Canada has over a decade of experiences, in dealing with agriculture in the Free Trade Agreement with the United States, followed by the North American Free Trade Agreement with the US and Mexico, and more recently the Agreement with Chile, Canada is pursuing a similar arrangement with the MERCOSUR countries, and is a strong advocate of free trade in the Hemisphere.
