Water and the environment
The paper discusses the problems of the development and exploitation of water resources and the management of water. After a brief survey of the resources and the principles of water management, attention is drawn to environmental aspects. In conclusion with regard to the role and responsabilities of various bodies dealing with water, the paper directs policy makers to matters which require their attention and sets out proposals for policy guidelines
