Aislamiento de Microbacterium Paratuberculosis (M. Johnei) en bovinos en el Uruguay : Trabajo presentado en las XI Jornadas de Buiatría de Paysandú
Twenty materials belonging to dairy cows with clinical symptomatology of paratuberculosis have been processed in the Laboratory. The direct smears (from faeces, rectal mucus, the terminal portion of the ileum, the ileo-caecal valve and ileo-caecal lymph nodes) and Ziehl-Neelsen stained showed 18 positives and 2 negatives. M. Johnei was isolated from 13 samples using Herrold media with egg yolk with mycobactine. Conclusions were made and control rules for our country are recommended.
