Effects of fungicides for control of ‘sour' orange scab

An experiment was conducted to compare the effects of the fungicides benomyl, maneb + Zn, copper oxichloride and oxicarbin for control of sour orange scab, Elsinoe fawcetti (Sphaceloma fawcetti) in seedbeds of 'Rangpur' lime and 'Florida Rough' lemon. Treatment with benomyl was the best and controlled the scab satisfactorily. No significant difference among maneb + Zn, copper oxichloride and oxicarbin was obtained. Significant incidence of Alternaria citri was observed in plants treated with benomyl. The 'Rangpur' lime showed better responses to treatments than the 'Florida Rough' lemon.
