Revisión sistemática de intervenciones cognitivas destinadas a adultos mayores con deterioro cognitivo leve.
Abstract: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is a nosological entity characterized by cognitive complaint, decreased performance on objective tests and autonomy in activities of daily living. Cognition-oriented interventions are suggested to slow the deterioration and improve the quality of life of the older adult. These interventions can stimulate a single domain or more than one and are usually implemented using the traditional format, pencil and paper, which is widely accepted for its accessibility. However, reviews analyzing research on these interventions are scarce. In the present article, a systematic review was conducted from 2012 to 2022. The search yielded 1349 articles, of which 19 met the inclusion criteria. All studies were clinical trials, mostly interventions of the multidomain cognitive training type with a duration of up to 6 months, and preferably twice a week. The implementation of pencil-and-paper cognitive interventions is still in force, providing positive results in terms of cognitive level, Well-Being and metabolic changes.
