Se tenia como meta generar un cambio a futuro, por tanto como metáfora se planteo, Horizontes ambientales, donde el caminar dirija a un horizonte con esperanza y cambios en nuestro accionar con el medio ambiente, logrando integrar temáticas sociales y ambientales como respuesta a las problemáticas ambientales costarricenses. Since the 1990s, IDESPO has worked on the environmental side, where under its experience and maturity it has responded to the country's environmental problems. Environmental Horizons was created in 2008, thanks to the efforts of two academics and a research assistant. The goal was to generate a change in the future, therefore, as a metaphor, Environmental Horizons was proposed, where walking leads to a horizon with hope and changes in our actions with the environment, managing to integrate social and environmental themes as a response to the problems. .
