Energy saving possible while maintaining stem weight and quality : lilies can make do with less light if there's extra CO2

Researchers are without question enthusiastic about the results of lighting trials with lilies. Results from both the first as well as the second flower development clearly show that with extra CO2, less lighting is required while maintaining stem weight and quality. “This conclusion clearly shows that it is possible to make substantial energy savings in this crop,” says Sander Hogewoning, of Plant Lighting.
