During long distance exports of animals across the EU and beyond animal welfare is important for the animals, producers and consumers. Watering and feeding is essential to animal welfare. A consensus of opinion under EU member states is not yet available. Primarily because authorities are unable to test transport vehicles on their facilities. This report examines drinking water systems for cattle, pigs, horses, sheep and goats.
