Population Information Network for Africa (POPIN-Africa) : inventory of activities and future plans
The World Population Plan of Action adopted at Bucharest, Romania, in 1974 recommended that measures should be taken to facilitate knowledge of the interrelationships between population and development. The Plan also requested governments to consider, the dissemination of population information as a means of creating an awareness of population problems in planning social and economic development.
