Statistical and economic information bulletin for Africa = Bulletin d'information statistique et economique pour l'Afrique
The present issue of the Bulletin, namely, No. 4, is somewhat bulkier than usual due mainly to the use of the Bulletin as a whole for the publishing of some of the statistical studies carried out in the statistics Division. Summaries of a further five development plans are included in this issue and there is a summary of Malawi’s statement of development policies 1971-1980. Manufacturing industry is substantial investment heading in all five countries and its relative importance ranges from 13 to 21 per cent of the total planned investments. Agriculture is particularly important in Uganda and the Central African Republic but has lesser significance in the other three countries.
