Regional centers for training in photogrammetry and airborne geophysical surveys and for interpretation of aerial surveys
This report presented by the government of Ethiopia at the Meeting of Experts on Regional Centers for Training in Photogrammetry and Airborne Geophysical Surveys and for Interpreting Aerial Surveys. The representative outlines that in past communications they have no institutions within Ethiopia which give training along these lines and extreme shortage of trained personnel has hampered their staffing and operation plans. Ever since the inception of this Institute it has had to face the hard fact of training all of its technical personnel with limited facilities and so far, even though certain mapping data are available which could be placed 011 the production line the shortage of qualified technicians to carry out the job has' hindered us from going into full scale production operations.
