De Vita, Paolo Gutiérrez-Hernández, Oliver Serrano, María S. Ramo, Cristina Sánchez Hernández, Mª Esperanza Póster presentado en la Sesión Biological invasions: from species adaptation to ecosystem responses.-- Congreso, celebrado del 18-20 de septiembre 2013, en Sevilla, España. The invasive alien Phytophthora cinnamomi has killed millions of trees belonging to sclerophilous species of the genus Quercus (mainly Q. ilex and Q. suber) in SW Spain and Portugal. These long-living tree species are of great importance to maintain the biodiversity in Mediterranean forests. Another source of concern for key-tree species is their potential response to climate change.
