Samples were taken fortnightly in new monn and full moon; pH has outstanding fornightly variation. The amount of assimilated carbon varies between 2,8 and 0,05 g Carbon/m2 day from the surface to the bottom at 22 m. The mean values are 1,05 in summer and 0,50 in winter, with an annual mean of 0,71 g C/m2 day which is equal to 260 g C/m2 year. In conditions of light saturation, the assimilation is about 6,7 g C/l hour for each gram of chlorophyl a. The speed of the renewal of phytoplankton and particulate nitrogenous organic matter is also estimated.
