An appraisal of the strategic role of decentralized financial institutions for South Africa's rural financial markets

La mission avait pour objet de contribuer à l'élaboration d'un système de suivi-évaluation des services financiers ruraux décentralisés. Après avoir présenté un apperçu de la situation socioéconomique du monde rural en Afrique du Sud, le rapport analyse trois programmes de petit crédit menés par des ONG : -The Small Entreprise Foundation (SEF) de la province Nord, -The Rural Finance Facility's, de la province Mpumalanga, -The Get Ahead Foundation's loan program, dans le province Mpumalanga. Enfin des propositions pour une stratégie opérationnelle en matière de services financiers ruraux sont énoncées
