The CIMMYT Maize Germplasm Bank contains a wealth of genetic diversity, mostly in the form of landraces. This publication describes the general composition of the Bank's holdings and the conditions under which they are stored and managed. Cooperators are informed about the procedures for acquiring seed from the bank. The precautions taken at CIMMYT to ensure that cooperators receive viable seed that is free of diseases and insects are also described
