CELADE presta gran atencion al desarrollo de nuevos modelos probandolos criticamente, para incorporarlos a sus trabajos. El campo de sus actividades tan variado y la insuficiencia de recursos financieros y de tiempo, han dificultado el avance en el perfeccionamiento de ciertas tecnicas basadas en algunos modelos matematicos.
