Ichtyoplancton du golfe de Tunis.
A study of the ichthyoplankton in the Gulf of Tunis was performed in 6 stations from November 1981 until December 1982. The purpose of this study is to know the egg-laying season of certain teleostean fish in this region. The ten-thousand eggs were attributed to 24 species. From the quantitative point of view, the species: Engraulis encrasicholis, Mullus barbatus, Arnoglossus sp., Callionymus festivus, Coris julis and Diplodus sp. were the most dominant. As a consequence, the Gulf of Tunis must be a spawning site for these species.
