Some aspects of the current status, prospects and challenges of wild populations and commercial farming of valuable Azov and Black Sea fish species

Some of the priority activities in the field of reproduction and aquaculture of the Azov Sea fish stocks are presented. We have proposed some areas of research on the development of biotechnologies in the management of spawning stocks of commercially valuable migratory and semi-migratory fish species under controlled environment with the aim to preserve the ecological and genetic status of these species. Recommendations are given on the sustainable development of aquaculture farming.
