Farmers' knowledge of pollination and pollinators

This file contains the survey data on farmers' knowledge of pollination and pollinators from Morocco (4 regions), Turkey (3 regions) and Benin (5 regions), within 3 data sheets (Benin, Morocco, and Turkey). The data was produced by several research projects executed at The International Center for Agrcultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) and its partners in Turkey and Benin. Data was collected within 2 projects funded by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Collaboration and Development (BMZ) and one project funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety (BMU) within the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and (in Benin) in collaboration with the NGO African Innovation Services (AFRIS). The 3 projects include: (1) Introduction of “Farming with Alternative Pollinators (FAP)” to simultaneously enhance climate change resilience of agro-ecosystems and farmers’ income, funded by BMZ; (2) Innovation Transfer into Agriculture – Adaptation to Climate Change (ITAACC), funded by BMZ; and (3) Conservation of pollinator diversity for enhanced climate change resilience, funded by BMU. The interviews were conducted in Arabic, French, and Turkish.
