Coffee and conservation

This paper covers the probable outcome as well as the unintended consequences of promoting shade coffee (coffee grown under a canopy) as opposed to sun coffee (those grown without an understorey) as a means of preserving biodiversity in the tropics based on studies showing that structurally complex habitats generally support more diverse faunas.
