Desempenho de palnos de amostragem para controle de bicho mineiro (Perileucoptera coffeella Guérin-Méneville, 1842) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae) em Lavras, Minas Gerais

The objetive of this work was to evaluate the performance of sampling plans to control the coffee leaf miner (Perileucoptera coffeella) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae) through operating characteristic and average sample number curves. The following plans were studiet: 1) the standard fixed sample size (n = 200) recommneded by SOUZA & REIS (1992); 2) the fixed sample size (n = 225) from VILLACORTA & GUTIERREZ (1989) and 3) the sequencial plan based on Wald methodology and adapted by VILLACORTA & TORNERO (1982). The standard method from SOUZA & REIS (1982) and VILLACORTA & GUTIERREZ (1989), showed a probability of error on making a decision of 50 percent and 6,68 percent for coffee leaf miner infestations of 30 percent e 53 percent, respectively. The sequencial sampling plan was constructed with a protection against wrong decision of 5 percent.
