Histopathology of a new parasite on coffee

A study of host-parasite relationship of Coffea arabica L. and a phanerogamic parasite Cuscuta reflexa showed that the parasite makes a direct contact with xylem of the host and absorbs nutrients through tracheids resulting in debility and gradual decline of the affected coffee plants
