Lucaena leucocephala and other fast going trees their cultivation and uses.
Leucaena leucocephala has been dubbed the 'Miracle Tree'. It is popularised throughout the tropics because it can be used in a multitude of ways and grows very quickly. Although a very versatile tree, it is restricted as to where it should be grown. Many other trees can be planted instead of Leucaena on other sites and they fulfil some of the functions of Leucaena. Several have been included in this booklet. The fact sheet on each species is intended to explain a little about it, including where it can be grown and for what purposes.
